Workshop Towards development of mediatization research III
There are still a few free places left for the workshop Towards development of mediatization research III organized by the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication, University of Wroclaw and Academia Europaea Wroclaw Knowledge Hub which will take place on 15 November 2019 in Wroclaw, Poland.
This year's workshop will be lead by Professor Andreas Hepp and will focus on digital media and datafication.
We invite media researchers working in the area of mediatization to participate in the seminar. There is no conference fee.
ATTENTION FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS of academic year 2019/20
Ladies and Gentlemen, It is the responsibility of each student commencing studies at the University of Wroclaw to participate in training on health and safety and fire protection. The course is mandatory and ends with a test. Training is considered to be completed on the basis of minutes of the training. The training in the field of occupational health and safety and fire protection lasts from 1 October to 30 November 2019.
The University of Bergen is looking for a trainee to join us at the International Centre, starting from November 2019 or February/March2019. We would appreciate it very much if you could forward this information to your students or recent graduates who may be interested in applying. The deadline is September 15th.
Please note that the trainee needs to get funding through Erasmus+, but we will cover housing at a university student house, or up to 400 €.

Christmas Party
Dear Students,
The International Christmas Party will take place on Thursday, December 13th at the main hall of the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication, starting at 4:00PM. You will be able to listen to Christmas songs performed live by the Polish students, decorate a Christmas tree, play numerous socializing games and enjoy international Christmas music and traditional Polish Christmas dishes. All of the international students of the Institute are welcome to come and spend the evening in a friendly, warm atmosphere.

International Seminar about New Media
Dear Students, We kindly invite you to participate in an International Seminar about New Media in different countries. On the 4th of December 2018, at 01.30 P.M. (R: Kameralna Zachodnia) we will have a group of students from Kazakhstan and we would like to talk with them about the situation of mass media in different countries, not only in Poland and Kazakhstan, but in other places and contexts as well. The seminar will be held in English, so if you want to prepare a short presentation about your own country or just want to listen and discuss some topics, please do not hesitate to join us.
